While the concept of bacon desserts isn’t “new” (I saw a chef make bacon ice cream on Iron Chef America a few years ago), I think it is becoming more of a trend these days. Case in point … the Cupcake Project’s Beer Cheese Cupcakes with Bacon Cheddar Cream Cheese Frosting, which I am making for a potluck this weekend (I’m using Schlafly Oatmeal Stout … just in case you were wonrdering).
