Crushing On It: The Summer Edition

It’s been quite a long while since I last told you about all the wonderful things I’ve been crushing on — and since we’re in the midst of a crazy heat wave here in St. Louis and all I want to do is stay indoors to escape the skin-melting temperatures — I thought I’d take this time to tell you all about the things I’ve been crushing on this summer.

Let’s get started, shall we?

First up is my ultimate summer barbeque menu. Everything on this menu is made on the grill and with ingredients that scream summer. Lobster, corn, blueberries … oh my!

Now, as you’d expect, there are a few interesting nuggets thrown in as well. I adore the sweet and spicy duality of peppadew peppers … and when you stuff them with goat cheese and grill them, I want to eat them all. And while a grilled kale salad may sound — umm — unique to some, I think it fits perfectly here.

Also on my crush list? Beach style! I’m still thinking about The Chef and my’s annual trip to Gulf Shores and wishing I was still on the beach. Since that isn’t a possibility, how about I bring the beach to me? Now that I can do!
